Updates: Horizon and website
Hey guys! Happy holidays, I hope you've all been busy with family and fun! I've been working on new types of work over the past few weeks. Not to mention 'pluggo, pluggo' I'm in a group show coming up in January!
Along the Horizon: Contemporary Drawing in Tennessee is a group exhibition focused on artists living in, or from, Tennessee, who utilize drawing as a substantial part of their contemporary practice. The thirteen contributing artists, residing in cities from Memphis to Johnson City, use a range of methodologies, which explore the limits, and traditions of the medium. Curated by East Tennessee State University’s Department of Art & Design Professors Andrew Scott Ross and Vanessa Mayoraz, Along the Horizon will take place in both the Reece Museum and Slocumb Galleries on ETSU’s main campus.
Along the Horizon: Contemporary Drawing in Tennessee opens January 16 and will remain on display until February 23. A reception will be held on February 15 beginning at 5 p.m. in Slocumb Galleries. During the reception a panel discussion featuring Stephan Wicks, Curator at the Knoxville Museum of Art, Richard A. Lou, Chair of the Department of Art at the University of Memphis, and Denise Stewart-Sanabria, a Knoxville based artist will occur at 5:30 p.m. in the Ball Hall auditorium. Following the panel, the reception will continue at the Reece Museum with light refreshments. The Along the Horizon: Contemporary Drawing in Tennessee exhibition and reception is provided through a partnership with the Reece Museum, Slocumb Galleries, and the Mary B. Martin School of the Arts.

I'm extremely honored at the opportunity to exhibit alongside such distinguished, professional artists (I got sweaty palms when I read the featured artists lol). I'm really thankful!
