Quick announcement! I realise it's short notice. Im in a art show and the reception is in thirty minutes! The show highlights black artists in North East Tennessee. Im extremely blessed and honoured to be exhibited alongside many amazing artists.

I personally want to thank the curator Karlota Contreas-Koterby and her many wonderful staff who put this together. Not to mention Dr.Robert and Martha Alphonso and Alison Alphonso for sharing their beautiful collection.

ETSU'S Multicultural center and The Tennessee Arts Commission for their support of this program.

'Black Appalachia: African American Art in Northeast TN' featuring two of the titans of African Appalachian - Art Sammie Nicely and Bessie Harvey, with glass artist Calvin Nicely, and JC-based Lydia Wilson, together with emerging artists Jonathan Adams, Kelsie Dulaney-Hayworth, V. Kelsey Ellis, and Shalam Minter.

Please join us this First Friday, August 4 The, from 6-8pm and meet some of the artists. Or visit during the Little Chicago Festival on August 11&12, Friday and Saturday from 3-7pm.

Co-presented by the ETSU Multicultural Center, and Department of Art & Design with special thanks to art benefactors Dr. Robert & Martha Alfonso and art writer/collector Allison Alfonso for lending their extensive collection of African Appalachian artists, with support from the Tennessee Arts Commission through the Arts Build Communities (ABC) grant and the First TN Development District.'

UPDATE: The reception last night was fantastic! I meet with many amazing people and enjoyed our conversations. Each artist was given a rose so onlookers may know who to ask. It was brilliant, yet again I want to thank you all for your hard

work and I will keep in touch with all of you I met. It was my pleasure!
